Baby Shower Card- Pink Cat Studio

Hi Ladies,

Today I have a card and tag to share that I made for my cousins baby shower.  It goes with the diaper cake that I made a few weeks ago.

Here is the card and tag.  So cute!  :)

I used kraft cardstock for the base and then I used Nana's Nursery from DCWV for the patterned papers.  I punched out a tag and out a PTI sentiment that says Sweet Baby.  The adorable baby monkey is a digital image from Pink Cat Studios.

Hope you enjoy!

Sympathy - PTI

Hi Ladies,

I have a Sympathy card to share with you tonight.  One of my co-workers had a death in the family last week.  :(

I made the card below for her.

I go this idea from Tami White - a Stampin Up demonstrator.  She is so talented!  I used Neenah paper and embossed the first layer that is on the plain base with a patterned Sizzix folder.  I then sponged it with Sahara Sand ink.  I then cut and masked the top layer with a Labels Eight Spellbinders die.  I used two stamps from PTI - Botanical Silhouettes and the sentiment is from Gracious Vases.  I used Pale Plum and Old Olive ink for the main image.  I shaded around the image with Sahara Sand.  I then cut the entire thing out with the Label Eight die that was one size bigger.

Have a good evning.

Hi Chicas!

I hope you had a peaceful weekend.  I made a cute card using one of the digital stamps that I won from Tiddly Inks.

Diaper Cake

Hi there, I hope you are all having a good day.

Today I have a fun project to share that is not card related.  My cousin and his wife are having their first baby.  We are so excited - it is the first baby in the family in a looong while!

I have seen some diaper cakes online before and that I thought were cute, so I thought it would be a great idea to make one for them.

I called my mom and my sister over and we got to work and came up with this:

Isn't it the cutest thing!   I love it!!

I am going to make a card and add a little something in that and give it to them for the new baby boy!

Have a great day!

Mark Your Spot - Taylored Expressions

Mornin' Chicas!

I have a fun project that I made a few weeks ago to share with you today.  I used a new stamp set called Mark Your Spot from Taylored Expressions to make some book markers.  They are adorable!

First of all let me tell you that my girls and I are AVID readers!  WE LOVE TO READ!  So making the kids a few book markers was a great idea.  :)

I have several pictures to share, but the one above shows all 5 of the book markers standing up.

Here is a picture of them on my craft table - you can see the detail a little better...

My kids love them.  :)  You really can't see it in the picture but there is Stickles on each book mark just to add some shine.  They look awesome IRL.

Well, here is how I made these bad boys, it was a process.  I used my Silhouette and sized, welded, and cut out that shape.  I then glued two of the shapes together to make it sturdier.  I then stamped several images from the TE stamp set and colored with my copics.  I looked up a video on how to make book mark tassels and waa laa!  There you have it!

Hope you enjoy!

Autumn Bounty - Sweet n Sassy Stamps

Good evening ladies,

I have a card to share with you tonight that I just made using the Autumn Bounty samp set that I won from Sweet n Sassy.  :)

I used some papers that I purchased from Michaels in Fall colors.  I ran the burnt orange one through my big shot with a wood grain texture plate.  I love how it came out!  Then I ran some burlap through my big shot with a circle Spellbinders die.  Finally, I used my MFT fish tail die and ran some brown card stock through the big shot.  Whew!  That was a lot of die cutting for me!

I hope you can see all the texture that I have going on here!  Some times pictures don't do justice.  :)

I added an image from the stamp set and a very cute saying that is also from the set.  I used my ticket corner punch from SU and a few SU circle punches for the sentiment.  I distressed the edge using some Antique Linen distress ink on the image and the sentiment.

As a final touch I added three orange-y rhinestones to the top corner.

I am submitting this card to the challenge below:

Have a great night!

I used a Sizzix folder to make the circle background.  The ribbon is some wide Pretty in Pink grosgrain that I have from SU.  I used my Spellbinders Label 2 die to sut out the main image.
