My Favorite Things - Spooktacular Friends

Happy Monday!

Today I have this sweet Halloween card to share with you.  I recently purchased the Spooktacular Friends stamp sent from MFT.  I love these adorable characters!  As with most sets - I always try and use all the images on my card.  I almost succeeded on this one!

I created the background with Distress Oxide inks.  I cut out a mask for all of the images.  That took a little while! LOL.  It was worth it though!

I colored in the stamped images with copics.  I added water splotches and white ink pen to add interest to all of the images.  I love how this came out!.

Tim Hotlz - Halloween Card

Hey Crafty Friends!

I hope you are all doing good.  I have been in the mood for Halloween lately.  I have decorations and even created a banner!  In the same burst of energy - I made this ghostly Halloween card :

For this card I used several die sets from Tim Holtz: Frightful Things, Ghost Town, and Bat Crazy.

I made the clouds using the My Favorite Things Cloud Stencil and White Pigment Ink.  It stands out very well on the Desert Storm Card-stock.

I used various Distress Oxide Inks to create the "glow" behind the windows.  On the windows themselves I covered them with Glossy Accents.

I cut out the bats from some black glitter card-stock. Lastly I added white gel pen to various areas of the houses and the trees to make them appear more dimensional.

Thank you for stopping by! You can follow me on Instagram to see my cards as soon as I post them!

My Favorite Things - Party Animals

Happy Monday!

Today I have a card to share using the MFT Party animals stamp set.  I wanted to use all the little critters so I made a slimline shaped card. This means the finished cards dimensions are 8 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches and fits in  a standard size 9 envelope.

I used my Kuretake markers for this card and stamped the images with Ink on 3's Fade Out Ink for a "no line" look.  I used MFT's Cloud and grass stencils and the Distress Oxide Inks on the grass and the cloud background.

I have a short video on my Instagram that shows the shimmer that is on this beauty!

Thank you for stopping by!

My Favorite Things - Birthday Cake Die

Hi Crafty Peeps!

Today I have a card that I made for a sweet lady at work.  For my birthday she bought me a chocolate cake that weighted a ton and had several layers.  The funny thing was I am not a very sweet stuff lover but this cake was amazing!  It was very mild and delicious.

Here is a picture of it when it was in the box:

It was a beautiful cake.  So on her birthday I decided to make her a card that had several chocolate cakes on it.  That is her favorite type of cake.  :)

This card had alot of die cutting and I love it!

Thanks for stopping by!

My Favorite Things - Sailboat Die

Hi Friends!

I haven't posted in a little while.  Just been bust with work and kids and life.  😂  I have a card that I created a while ago and never had the chance to post.  I used a die from My Favorite Things and I think the name is Sailboat Die.  I'm not sure and I can't find it anywhere...  regardless here is my card:

I used a background stamp from MFT and stamped the stripped background then used the Stitched Wonky Rectangle die to cut it out.  I used the Stitched Dome die for the frame that has the sea and the clouds.  I used the Cloud and Waves Stencils for that with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Inks.

I used patterned paper from my stash for the base of the boat and I layered two pieces for the sails.  I used Antique Linen to distress the boat die cuts.  Lastly I used my shimmer pen to coat the sails so it sparkles beautifully.

Thank you for stopping by!

Craftin Desert Divas - Sparkle & Magical Unicorn

Hey Crafty Friends!

Today I have two super cute 5 by 7 cards to share with you.  I made them this size per my sisters request.  She wanted to frame it and put them on her desk at work.  :)

I don't have the dies for these two stamp sets so I used my Scan N Cut to cut out the images.  It worked perfectly!  I don't know how sometimes I have issues and others its PERFECT!

Here are some of the images after they were cut out!

I colored them with my copic markers and had them ready to go for the card fronts.

Here are both of the completed cards.  I popped everything up with foam tape and added lots of sparkle to all the die cut images.

Here is a close up of one on the cards using Magical Unicorn stamp set.

Here is the one using the Sparkle set.

Here is a little video that shows the sparkle on one card.

And the last one.  I did both of the backgrounds with My Favorite Things Cloud Stencil and Distress Oxide inks.  It looks so gorgeous in person.

My Favorite Things - Hello Little One

Hi Everyone!

Today I have a CAS (clean and simple) card to share with you.  I have a coworker who is having a baby girl so I made her a card last night.  :)  This is for day 14 of the Daily Marker 30 Day challenge.

This card was very simple and quick to pull together.  I stamped the little stork then stamped a mask for him.  I then used Tumbled Glass distress Oxide Ink and the MFT Clouds stencil to create the background.  I then colored him up with copic markers and added some shimmer on the little bag and some details with my white gel pen.

Thank you for stopping by!

My Favorite Things - LLD Bundle of Baby Clothes & Welcome Baby

Hey Crafty Friends -

My daughter has a friend that is having a baby girl and she asked me to make a card for her.  I went into my baby stash of stamps and dies and made her the card below.

I die cut the little out fits from the MFT LLD Bundle of Baby Clothes dies from some papers I had in my stash.  I cut out the frame using Pretty Pink Posh's Scallop Frames dies.  I cut the frame from vellum to soften up the patterned paper - it also helps the clothes stand out more.  I embossed the sentiments in white embossing powder.  It is super cute!

Thank you for stopping in.

My Favorite Things - Piggy Pebbles

Hi!

Today I have a card to share that uses the little pigs that I colored a few days ago for the Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge.  I used them on this card:

I put the colors that I used on the pigs beside them.  A few people were asking about it. I used Distress Oxides to create the sky and splashed some water for added interest.  I hand drew the puddle and colored the water and dirt with copic markers.

Here is a close up of the pigs.  They are so adorable!  I added details with my white gel pen.

Thank you for stopping in!

My Favorite Things - Chinese Take Out & Good Fortune

Hi Friends,

I made a card for a co-worker who is having a birthday soon.  I wanted to use the MFT die Chinese Take Out and Good Fortune stamp set. I just bought this die - it is retired and thought it was super cute.

I used the Monstera Leaf Cover Up for a background and used some distress oxide ink to give it some nice green color.  I popped that up with foam tape.  I then die cut the take out container and the little handle out of some silver heavy weight cardstock.  I cut the chop sticks out of some "wood" adhesive paper - not sure if I like this stuff - lol.  It could be that the dies are very skinny - idk.  I die cut the fortune cookie and sponged the edges with distress ink in Tea Dye to give is some dimension.

This card is for the Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge.

Thank you for stopping by!

Lawn Fawn/My Favorite Things - Scalloped Treat Box/Tiki Party

Hey Everyone -

I made this cute little Scalloped Treat Box with the Lawn Fawn Die and decorated it with the My Favorite Things Tiki Party stamps set.  we all have stamps and dies from multiple companies and I rarely mix them...  I don't know why but I don't.  Well I did on this little goodie and I love how it turned out.

I die cut the box and stamped all the images on Neenah Desert storm paper.  I then colored it up with copics.  That alone gives it such a different look! I do have the coordinating dies but it is the old type that is hard to see when die cutting.  I didn't want to go through the process of dies cutting and then matching it up etc. so I just fussy cut the images.

I think the little palm tress and huts are my favorite!

The little guitar and flowers look so tropical.

I added white gel pen to everything.  It just made it pop on this color card stock.

Here is a little video of all sides of the box.  If it does not work here you can view it over on my Instagram @inktimesomewhere.

My Favorite Things - Purrfect Friends

Hey Friends,

I have a soft sweet card to share with you all today using the Purrfect Friends stamps set from My Favorite Things.  I did something very different for me on this card - I used colored pencils!  I have both Prisma Pencils and Polychromos Pencils and I rarely use either.  Well I went out of my comfort zone here.  :)

I think I definitely need to practice with these but I do like how this card came out.  I used this collage die from MFT and made a little scene with the kitties!

This card is for Day 10 of the Daily Marker 30 Day challenge.

Thanks for looking!

My Favorite Things - Over the Moon for Ewe

Happy Monday!

Today I am sharing a card that I made using the Over the Moon for Ewe stamp set from MFT.  I made this card and colored up these stamsp for Day 7 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge.  I'm still going!

I used my Zig Watercolor markers for these.

I used my Scan N Cut to cut the images and it worked beautifully!  It is really hit or miss with this machine.  I must be doing something wrong.  Sometimes it cuts the little parts individually - IDK.  It's frustrating.  But these were perfect! I used the MFT Clouds stencil to made a simple background.  The grass was also an MFT Die.

Thank you for stopping by.

I have a super cute card to share with you today.  I used the Magical Unicorn stamp set from Craftin' Desert Divas.  I just love these little guys!  I'm still playing along with The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge.  :)

I made a "slimline" card.  This just means that it is a long card.  The dimensions of 8 1/2 inches and 3 1/2 inches. It fits into a Size 9 envelope with room to spare.

I colored them with copic markers and fussy cut all the images out.  The cloud background was created using the MFT Cloud Stencil and Broken China Distress Ink.

You can't see it in the pictures but I added tons of sparkle to these images.  Hopefully you can see in the video above.

My Favorite Things - The Whole Herd

Happy Friday!

Today I'm sharing a card I made last weekend 😥 but did not have a chance to post on my blog.  I used a stamp set from My Favorite Things called The Whole Herd.  I've had this set for a while but never inked it up.

I used my Zig Clean Color Markers on these images.  I cut them out with my Brother Scan N Cut, and I don't know how to select the outer lines on some of the images.... so it cut a few out piece by piece.  Regardless it looks adorable!

I have a little video to share that show the sparkles on the card.  If it does not work for you - you can go over to my Instagram and see the clip there.

Thank you for popping over!
