My Favorite Things - Oh My Gostrich

Hi Everybody,

Today I am sharing a few cards I made using the new Oh My Gostrich stamp set from MFT!  When I saw these little guys and read the fun sentiments I HAD to get this set!!!!!

My first card is a "slimline" card which means it is long and narrow and fits in a standard number 9 office type envelope.  :)  I added lots of layers to the "sand" that my little birds are standing on.  I used my oxides to make an ombre cloud scene and added some shimmer to the die cut foliage.  <3 how this turned out!  I used some white gel pen on all of the birds to add some wispy details.

My next card was again made using oxides for the scene and I used some cute clouds from Lil Inker.

My last card again had the little ostriches on the sand with some puffy clouds behind them.  I used some white gel pen to add detail on all of the birds and the foliage on this card.

Hope you enjoyed these little cuties!

Tim Holtz - Village Dwellings Die/Village Surf Shack/Village Rooftops

Hi there,

Today I have a few little "beach" houses that I have been working on that I would like to share with you.  I made three different beach shacks so its like a little neighborhood.  Here is a picture of all three.

Aren't the adorable!  I am addicted to making these.  :)  I used the Tim Holtz Village Dwelling die as the  base for all of the houses and I used the the Village Surf Shack the details like the window frames the palm trees, the surf boards and the porch for the middle shack pictured above.  The little fence comes from the Village Bungalow add on die.

Here is a close up of the house with a "tin roof"!  Isn't it adorable???  You can kind of see in the picture the tea light I have glowing on the inside of the house. I cut strips of patterned paper and distressed the edges to make it look like wood panels on the outside.

On this one I used burlap to make the roof and added some moss as shrubs around the outside.

On the final house I used some wood grain sticky paper to cut out the roof with the Rooftops add on die.  I distressed the cut outs to give it more dimension.  I just love these little beach houses!

Happy Monday!

Is there such a thing for those of us that have to get up at the crack of dawn and go to work?! LOL  Well I hope your day started off great!  I have a card to share using the January 2019 Card Kit from Spellbinders.  I thought this kit was adorable when I saw all the items that were included.  I simply had to buy it for the typewriter die I used in the card below.

I just LOVE how this card turned out!  I used some flowers from my stash and made it look so shabby chic and feminine!  I colored the typewriter keys with copic markers and then added Nuvo shimmer pen over the top.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the card as much as I loved making it!

Lawn Fawn - Let's Toast

Happy Sunday!

Today I'm sharing a card I made using the Let's Toast stamps, die, and pull tab die!  No let me tell you - I was very nervous to make an interactive card like this!  I thought is was going to be very difficult! Well it was the easiest thing to do!  The pull tab die was very easy to use and not complicated at all.  :)

The toast pops out of the toaster when you pull the tab!  So adorable!  I made him a piece of avocado toast - lol.  I colored up my images with copic markers and even though I had the dies I just fussy cut them.  It was pretty easy.  I added some glossy accents on the jam and some Nuvo Shimmer pen on  the pop tart.  It is super cute!

I posted this card a little while ago on my Instagram: @inktimesomehwere if you'd like to follow me.
