My Favorite Things - Chinese Take Out & Good Fortune

Hi Friends,

I made a card for a co-worker who is having a birthday soon.  I wanted to use the MFT die Chinese Take Out and Good Fortune stamp set. I just bought this die - it is retired and thought it was super cute.

I used the Monstera Leaf Cover Up for a background and used some distress oxide ink to give it some nice green color.  I popped that up with foam tape.  I then die cut the take out container and the little handle out of some silver heavy weight cardstock.  I cut the chop sticks out of some "wood" adhesive paper - not sure if I like this stuff - lol.  It could be that the dies are very skinny - idk.  I die cut the fortune cookie and sponged the edges with distress ink in Tea Dye to give is some dimension.

This card is for the Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge.

Thank you for stopping by!

Spellbinders Monthly Card Kit - January 2019

Happy Monday!

Is there such a thing for those of us that have to get up at the crack of dawn and go to work?! LOL  Well I hope your day started off great!  I have a card to share using the January 2019 Card Kit from Spellbinders.  I thought this kit was adorable when I saw all the items that were included.  I simply had to buy it for the typewriter die I used in the card below.

I just LOVE how this card turned out!  I used some flowers from my stash and made it look so shabby chic and feminine!  I colored the typewriter keys with copic markers and then added Nuvo shimmer pen over the top.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the card as much as I loved making it!

I shared this and all of my cards on my Instagram: @inktimesomewhere if you would like to follow me there.

Thank you for stopping by!

Mom's Birthday Card

Today I have a card and a tag to share that I made for my Mom's 60th birthday.

I used a layout from  Debbie Olson that I found on her blog.  :)  She is a sweet lady.  I used an October Afternoon paper pad called 5 and Dime.

The stamp set is from Papertrey Ink and I think it is call Botanical Silhouettes.  The ribbon and buttons are from my stash.  The sentiment is also PTI.

Here is the tag that I made for the bag that was holding her present.

Here is a close up of the matching tag.

Below is a part of a card that my middle daughter made for my mom:

She used some scraps and a butterfly punch from Stampin Up.

She did a great job!

I am entering this card in the challenge below:

Wryn, Hanging Around - Tiddly Inks

Hey Chicas!  I have a fun card to share with you tonight - it's using a Tiddly Inks image called Hanging Around.  Wryn has so much character- she is full of spunk!  I printed her on copic blending paper and cut her out.  She is popped up on foam tape along with the clouds.  I used my new Spellbinders Nestibilities dies for the circle and the scalloped circle.  The clouds were punched out with my two Fiskars cloud punches.

I colored her with my copics and used a PTI sentiment.  The clouds behind her were sponged with Tumbled Glass distress inks.  The patterned paper is from Thrift Shop by October Afternoon.

I am going to enter this in the challenges below:

I hope you have a good night!
