My Favorite Things - Birth-Yay

Hey Friends!

Today I have a card to share that I made for my cousins wife her her upcoming birthday.  I used the super adorable Birth-Yay stamp set from MFT.

I colored the image with copic markers and placed it on some torn vellum to kinda "tone down" the busy/colorful background.  I love how vibrant it looks!

Here are all the markers it took to make this happen!

Yep!  All of those.  :)

Thank you for stopping by!

My Favorite Things - LLD Bundle of Baby Clothes & Welcome Baby

Hey Crafty Friends -

My daughter has a friend that is having a baby girl and she asked me to make a card for her.  I went into my baby stash of stamps and dies and made her the card below.

I die cut the little out fits from the MFT LLD Bundle of Baby Clothes dies from some papers I had in my stash.  I cut out the frame using Pretty Pink Posh's Scallop Frames dies.  I cut the frame from vellum to soften up the patterned paper - it also helps the clothes stand out more.  I embossed the sentiments in white embossing powder.  It is super cute!

Thank you for stopping in.

Stampendous - Vase - TPE268

Happy HOT Monday!

I don't think those of us who live in San Diego have ever experienced this hot and humid weather we have been having!  It is miserable!  :(

We have a fun challenge for you this week over at The Pink Elephant.  We want you to show us your embossing skills.

I used a stamp from my stash that I have had for years. Its from Stampendous, but it does not have a name....

I stamped the image in Versamark ink and then used white embossing powder on vellum.  I then colored the back of the image with my Marvy Lepume markers.

Please join us and show your embossed projects over at the TPE blog.

Pinata Luka - La La Land Crafts

Happy Friday!

I have a wonderful card to share with you all using a new stamp from La La Land called Pinata Luka.  He is having a good ole time hitting that little pinata!  LOL.  There is an "All Stitched Up Challenge" over at La La Land and this little cutie is my card for the challenge.

I used MME's Fly a Kite paper pad for this card.  I wanted him to be bright and colorful!  There are so many dies and layers and fun stuff going on here - a real feast for the eyes.  I used a few new La La Land dies, Wrought Iron Fence, and Scalloped Banner die.  Along with their Sun, Cloud and Island die.  I did the clouds in vellum to give them a dreamy look.

I colored him up with copic markers.  Here are the colors that I used:

Copic:
Skin: E55, E53, E51, E95
Hair: E37, E35, E34
Jeans: B95, B93, B91, E31, E30
Shirt: R29, R27, R25, C3, C0
Stick: E27, E25, E23
Blindfold: C3, C0
Pinata: R29, R27, R24, Y11, Y13, B45, B52, YG09, YG06, YR18, YR16, YR15
Grass;  YG67, YG11, YG06, YG09, G85, G29
Sky: B000

I used some Wink of Stella on the pinata and candies and also on the banners hanging on the fence.

I finished this card off by sewing around the main image.

Please pop over to the La La land Crafts blog and see what the talented design team has created!

Here is a list of the supplies that I used on this card:
My card is 5 ½ by 5 ½.

Hi chicas!  I have a shimmery Christmas card using the Vintage Christmas set from Jane's Doodles to share with you today.  I used the cute snowman and stamped him on vellum.

I used a stencil and some spray mists for the background - VERY SHIMMERY!  :)

I colored up this little guy with Prismapencils then I stamped little falling snowflakes all around him.

I used a snowflake sticker and added lots of bling all around him.  I finished the card off with shiny ribbon bow!  You can find this wonderful Vintage Christmas set here at Jane's shop!

Gingerbread House - Jane's Doodles

Hi chickies, I made a Christmas card using Jane's Doodles Gingerbread House Digital Stamp

I used a paper pad from Teresa Collins called Memories.  I covered it with vellum to "soften" the look.  I added some lace trim and popped up the little house on dimensionals.

I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with Gamsol.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's.  I embossed it with white embossing powder.

I added lots of glitter and a few rhinesones.  I finished the card off by stitcking around the edges.  It sort of moved the trim... But it still looks pretty!

You can find the little Gingerbread House here at Jane's Shop!

Thanks,

Comfy Slippers Fairy - Saturated Canary

Hey there!

I have an embellishment heavy card today.  :)  I love this look but it is not something I am 100% comfortable doing...  So I gave it a shot and I am happy with how my card looks.

So I started off with this adorable digi from Saturated Canary.  I colored her with Copics and ProMarkers.  I added lots of Wink of Stella to her wings and the transparent area over her skirt.  I used very different colors on her hair - but I love how it looks!  I used a paper pad from Kathy Davis called Journeys.  It has ALOT  of beautiful purple papers.

Here is a close up on my coloring.  I am really enjoying using ProMarkers for skin tones.  I feel like I have more control of the ink...  It also blends beautifully.

I added lots of details to this card, let me list them: stitching around the boarders, pearls on a string, copic airbrushed flowers, vellum butterflies that have purple stickles on them, ribbon, a doily, sequins... I think that's it!  LOL.  Nope, I have a glittered clothespin and a cute little star embellie!

I finally have a pic that shows the Wink of Stella pen!

I am entering this card in the challenge over at Saturated Canary, Cratf-Dee BowzThe Memory Nest, and over at Craft Catz.

Thanks for popping by!

Jar - Janes Doodles

Happy Friday!

I have a sweet card to share with you today that uses both a digi image and a clear stamp from Jane's Doodles.  I used Jane's adorable Jar digi to create a shaker card!  The first for me - but it will not be my last.  I am now obsessed with what I can put in this little jar.  LOL.

Here is how I did it - I printed the jar twice, once on Neenah cardstock and once more on SU's cardstock vellum paper.  I cut both out and sewed around the edges, leaving the top of the jar open so I could fill it with goodies.

I put red, orange and gold sequins into the card along with some white chunky glitter.  I then sewed up the top of the card.  I tied some hemp twine around th top and added a button.

I used Studio Calico's Hey Day paper pad and a doily from my stash.  The sentiment is from Jane's Doodles Big Sentiments clear stamp set.

Have a great weekend!
