Mother's Day - Envelope Box

Hi Everyone!

Today I am sharing the Mother's Day card that I made for my mom.  Now, I have seen and LOVE those envelope boxes that are mostly seen internationally.  I don't see anyone really make them in the US.  BUT, I had to make one for my mom!

Please excuse the the picture quality - I had to snap them really quick because my mom was coming over!

Here is a picture of the box with the card inside it.  I used flowers that I have had forever from Prima and Michael's Recollections.

Here is a close up of the box with out the card in it.

This is the card that I made to go into the the box.  I just love how it came out!!

Here are the flowers along with the box/card.  :)

Last but not least are these BEAUTIFUL flowers that my husband bought for me.

I love lilies and he always gets me then for occasions.

I love them!!!

Thank you for stopping by!

I paper pieced her kimono and her umbrella with Kioshi paper.  The flowers are from my stash.  I used my bow easy for the double bow.  I added a few stick pins to finish her off.

Hot Cocoa Marci - La La Land Guest Designer!

I hope your having a wonderful Friday!  I have some great news to share with you today - I was asked to be a guest designer over at La La Land Crafts!!  Here is my first card using Hot Cocoa Marci.  The challenge over at La La Land is to use Brown, Blue, and White on your project.

I love the tight little waves on her hair!  She is adorable!  I used a Studio Calico paper pad called Memoir for this card.  I stitched around the edges of the main image and around the base.  I cut a doily in half and popped it on top of the patterned paper.  I have used two dies from La La Land on this card, Creepy Vines (which I airbrushed with my Copics) and the Heart Banner Die.  I die cut that one twice and popped it up on some dimensionals to off set it some what.

This image is colored with Copics, I have listed the colors I used below:

Copics:
Hair - E29, E25, E23, E21
Skin - E53, E51, E50, E93
Skirt (Browns) - E43, E42, E40, E40
Scarf - (Blues) - B24, B23, B21
Shoes - E35, E34, E33

I added some trim from my stash and a few roses.  Please pop over to the La La Land blog to see what the design team has created!

Harvest Princess - Saturated Canary (TPE227)

Happy Monday morning!

This week over at The Pink Elephant Challenge blog we have a "Be Thankful" theme going on for Thanksgiving.  For this card I used Harvest Princess from Saturated Canary - I love the girls she draws!  :)

I used my Kaiser Craft Miss Empire pad for again (it has wonderful Thanksgiving-y papers) for this card.  I added some flowers and a doily from my stash.

I colored her with ProMarkers and Copics. I like the fine tip nib on the ProMarkers for very small areas. But I have all the Copics so my array of color choices there are amazing!

I added some Lace Trim from Martha Stewart. It is gorgeous!  The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms.  I finished the card off with a fancy bow and some Wink of Stella on the feathers in her hair and the apples in her basket.

Please come on over and join us for this weeks challenge over at The Pink Elephant!

Thanks for stopping by,

Picnic - Saturated Canary (TPE226)

Hi chicas,

Hope your all having a great Monday!  We have a fun challenge this week over at The Pink Elephant Challenge blog - it a color challenge!

http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/2013/11/the-pink-elephant-challenge-tpe226.html

You have to use Brown, Orange, and Cream on your card!  Lots of fun for Thanksgiving!  For my card I used a Saturated Canary image called Picnic

I used MME's The Sweetest Thing - Tangerine paper pad for this card.  I stitched holes around the boarder image and actual stitches around the main image.  I used lots of fun layers to incorporate the challenge colors!

I colored her up with ProMarkers and Copics.  I added the Wink of Stella pen to her dress and the flowers.  I made the little glittered clothespin.  :)

I added some rhinestones and enamel dots from My Minds Eye.  The ribbon and the lace trim are from my stash.  I'm looking forward to see what you can create using the colors for the challenge over at The Pink Elephant!

Have a great day!

Comfy Slippers Fairy - Saturated Canary

Hey there!

I have an embellishment heavy card today.  :)  I love this look but it is not something I am 100% comfortable doing...  So I gave it a shot and I am happy with how my card looks.

So I started off with this adorable digi from Saturated Canary.  I colored her with Copics and ProMarkers.  I added lots of Wink of Stella to her wings and the transparent area over her skirt.  I used very different colors on her hair - but I love how it looks!  I used a paper pad from Kathy Davis called Journeys.  It has ALOT  of beautiful purple papers.

Here is a close up on my coloring.  I am really enjoying using ProMarkers for skin tones.  I feel like I have more control of the ink...  It also blends beautifully.

I added lots of details to this card, let me list them: stitching around the boarders, pearls on a string, copic airbrushed flowers, vellum butterflies that have purple stickles on them, ribbon, a doily, sequins... I think that's it!  LOL.  Nope, I have a glittered clothespin and a cute little star embellie!

I finally have a pic that shows the Wink of Stella pen!

I am entering this card in the challenge over at Saturated Canary, Cratf-Dee BowzThe Memory Nest, and over at Craft Catz.

Thanks for popping by!

Bitty Bungalows - Paper Smooches (TPE223)

Happy Monday!

This week over at The Pink Elephant we have challenge #223 - Distressing/Paper Tearing for you!

Add our banner to your blog

I created a little scene using the Paper Smooches - Bitty Bungalows Stamp and Bungalows Dies set.

I used my Tim Holtz distressing tool around the edge of the card and on the little hills.  I used the MME, Lime Twist - Life of the Party paper pad.  After I distressed the edges, I sponged them with Tea Dye Distress ink.

I colored the little images with copic markers.  Usually I have such a hard time lining up stamps with the die cut image - not today!  Everything lined up perfectly the first time.  :)

I used the Wink of Stella pen on the heat in the sentiment and on all of the windows and doors.  I added rhinestones that I colored with my copics on the little trees.  The flower is from Prima.  I finished the card off with some hemp twine tied in a bow.

Don't forget to stop by the Pink Elephant Challenge blog and see what the design team has created!

Have a great day!

Princess Peanelope - Saturated Canary

Hey Chickies!

Last post of the day for me.  :)  I have been busy crafting all day.  My last card is using a digi image from Saturated Canary called Princess Peanelope.  I think this is my favorite SC image.

I colored her with copics and added all sorts of goodies!  The patterned paper is from MME, Market.  The flowers and ribbon are from my stash.  The Top Note dies is from SU.  I distressed the edge with Tea Dye distress ink.

I added some Diamond stickles to the flowers in her hair and on various parts of the bed.

I am entering this card in the challenges below:

Have a good night.
